Crossroads

2015 has been a crazy year, a year of redefinition and exploration. For the past thirty years I have been an IT specialist, constantly learning new things, an agent of change. This year I have left the world of IT behind and now I am at a place of new beginnings, a chance to redefine who I am and what I do. It's been a creative year, I've painted more this year than I have for some considerable time, taken photos, started to write again. It's been an interesting start to year, who knows exactly where it will lead? Watch this space...

Tuscany

Had a great holiday in Tuscany, visiting places like Siena, Montepulciano, Florence and Rome. There's something very special about Italy - I love the buildings with paint and plaster falling off, ancient faded murals that have all but vanished, narrow roads and passageways that often lead to beautiful panoramic views, or yet another amazing building. So many discoveries around every corner, pretentious ornate structures side by side with others that may appear ordinary on the outside, but often have an inner beauty of their own. Creative Times

Getting back into watercolour painting, currently working on a Venice scene, a foggy picture and some skating figures too. Need to get my oils back out too - want to experiment using watercolour brushes with oils (something my art teacher likes to do). Photography wise, still working with some medical friends on the illustrations for a daily readings book for people suffering from chronic illness. Working on a new doodle too, previous one is now printed at A1 and up on my wall, and I now have some illustrator art printed at A0 - can't beat big images! So lots happening, just need to post a few things up here too. Oh well, hopefully get chan
